The perfume is an overdose of vetiver with no less than 3 different varieties in the formula: Vetiver from Haiti, India, and Indonesia. «Ex» in Latin means «derived from», so the translation of Ex Vetiver in english would be «derived from vetiver» !

Our first fragrance for men

In the lush meanders of a French labyrinth garden, three men, intrigued by a scent, set off on its trail.


Where does this scent come from?
The men weave through, get lost in its green over bursting trail, but persist. The woman blends into the greenery, hiding amongst the boxwoods. Only the fragrance remains. The lively sharpness of citruses pursued by a bold trio of Vetiver.


What is this mystery scent? They emerge into a clearing, where the woman discreetly drops a bottle of the perfume. One of the men approaches, and as she leaves it on a pedestal, he seizes the bottle. The fragrance is now his.

    The formula is built on a duality between the masculine and powerful facet of the root and citrusy accord, more delicate, refined and fusing. The result is genuinely elegant, sophisticated even.

    At first glance, there’s a real hesperidic freshness that is citrusy and truly elegant. Then, the woods join into the dance. Rich, slightly smoky.

    • How to use it

      Spray the fragrance directly onto the skin on pulse points (neck, inside of wrists and elbows,...) letting it air dry without rubbing it.
      For even better longevity, spray it on top of an unscented body lotion.

    • How to store it

      For better preservation of your fragrances, store them ideally in a dark and cool space, keeping them away from the sunshine.

    Best Men’s Cologne Ever

    My wife likes this new cologne on me than other expensive brands.

    Definitely a Spring or Summer Scent

    Cannot say what performance is like but the scent is nice. Not too earthy as some vetivers can be.

    Nice scent however it doesn’t have enough of a masculine smell to it. I received compliments but was told by women that it smelled like a perfume. The original not a perfume seems more unisex and smells better in my opinion.

    in our office we like to refer to Ex Vetiver as a feminine fragrance meant for men, so we 100% get where you're coming from! Not a Perfume definitely is the OG unisex fragrance in our collection. Ego Stratis is a great try for anyone looking for a more conventionally masculine scent

    It Is Not A Perfume has for many years been one of my all time favorite scents. I saw the add for EX VETIVER on Facebook and pre-ordered it for my Husbands Birthday. Let me tell you, it smells amazing. So fresh, clean and masculine. What a fabulous impulse buy. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

    It's hard to say. I did spray it on myself to see if the scent would give me a headache. It did. It's a strong herbal scent and long lasting. I do love herbal scented fragrances. One of my most beloved memories is using Clairol Herbal Essence shampoo (the 1970s version). And that was what I was hoping for with this fragrance. I know it's meant for men and maybe it'll work, but eventually they will have to hug or snuggle with a loved one and how would they feel about the smell? I did give the fragrance to my son, and he said it was a bit overpowering. So maybe spray a little bit from afar and walk into it might be trick?

    You’re absolutely right: Ex Vetiver does have a powerful projection & trail, we’re sorry to hear about it triggering your migraine! Yes spraying it in the air first might 100% do the trick for you, hope this helps. In the juliette office we refer to it as a feminine fragrance meant for men, so it definitely has gender fluid qualities...

    Not quite A Men's Perfume

    This would have been a better name for this scent. I appreciate they tried to go down a more masculine route, but honestly, this misses the mark. The quality is there, the scent is good, but there are just too many white florals for it to be a masculine scent. I wish the Vetiver and citrus had more staying power, and it leaned more into that profile rather than the feminine florals that it dries down into.

    Like most of Juliette’s perfumes this one smells divine and is exactly what you expect from the marketing and description. It’s like you wore one of their two sunshine fragrances and ran through the woods in a ball gown. It’s additionally suitably masculine that if I smelled this on a man I’d likely follow him to ask what it was. However, the scent is off my skin before I’m even out the door. I want to smell it all day and I get maybe 30 minutes out of it. I’ve never had this problem and I have most of their line.

    we're obsessed with Ex Vetiver too and simply can't get enough of it! sorry to hear about it not lasting long enough on you, sometimes this happens depending on each person's skin... our advice would be to spray it in your hair and clothes too, they truly help diffuse its stunning scent even longer

    I just received my Ex Vetiver and I love it. I did not order for a guy, when I read the notes I knew i would love it for myself. I am going out tomorrow and I cant wait to wear it! Love

Not quite A Men's Perfume

This would have been a better name for this scent. I appreciate they tried to go down a more masculine route, but honestly, this misses the mark.
