Not a Perfume

Usually when we call something "one-note" we're implying it's boring, stale, uninteresting. Not so with Not a Perfume. Cetalox has all the complexity of other scents with their layered top, middle, and base notes, but with the added benefit of simplicity. The scent is clean, floral and musky all at once without needing competing notes to achieve that.

Simple on the surface, complex in its depth, and perfect for anyone who likes to make an impression without overwhelming. This has been my signature scent for years and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

I love Not a Perfume, it's the perfect undercover perfume (especially when you work in a workplace that has a "scent free", meaning no strong colognes allowed). I also like the Superdose, but it's a little too strong. Smelling good is therapeutic for me, it brings me joy, and peace, so I love that I can still have my scent undercover 🥰

I had been looking for a light and more elegant everyday scent for a while. Many other fragrances I found were just too harsh. I understand some people say they cannot smell this fragrance on themselves. I would definitely suggest trying a sample, or a tester in store. It is light but very attractive. It’s great to layer with other fragrances or even scented body oils. I love it so much that I want to buy the whole “not a” line of products <3

a simple scent that you can wear alone or with other perfumes because it blends so well.

I started out trying a sample and now it’s my perfume everyday! I love the clean fresh smell and I get compliments all the time.

Not A Perfume is such an elevated your-skin-but-better perfume. It’s has a grounded and universal scent. but also creates a unique experience for each person that wears it. It walks the line between feminine and musky, perfectly balancing each of them. It really just makes you feel good, this is my second bottle:)

This is by far my favorite perfume. Highly recommend!

I ordered the discovery kit and am pleased that Not A Perfume is in a larger spray because it’s definitely the one I’ll be using the most! It’s very reminiscent of Dedcool’s Milk/Xtra Milk (not sure if NAP was released before or after, perhaps Dedcool is reminiscent of NAP…Either way, I am convinced the secret ingredient to Milk/Xtra Milk is this Cetalox. also faintly reminiscent of Commodity’s Paper, though I digress!)

In a nutshell, Not a Perfume is pure, soft, dreamy, innocent comfort. It is *super* subtle though, so definitely a skin scent! If what you’re wanting is your partner to nuzzle up to
Your neck and be totally comforted by what they smell up close, this is it. Friends will sigh contentedly when they hug you, and your kids will want to snuggle just to breathe you in.

This is my second bottle! It’s truly the most unique perfume scent. I get compliments everywhere I go when wearing it.

I had heard about JHAG on TikTok. I saw a duo of smaller bottles at Sephora, and a friend offered to gift me it for my birthday. My husband loved NAP. Even when he’s asleep, if I get into bed, he’ll roll over to snuggle up to me and smell my neck. After my mini bottle got low, I ordered the discovery set. I loved that I was able to try out so many scents and that it came with a coupon of the same value. Whenever people ask about what perfume I’m wearing, I send them to the discovery set link. Other companies may do something similar, but I’ve only seen JHAG do it so far. It shows that JHAG values gaining a customer’s trust. I have a beauty budget that I won’t budge. I appreciate having this option that lets me explore the scents without feeling like I’m loosing the value of my money. I plan to wear NAP as my signature scent for the rest of my life.
